Both the International Standards (ISO 7010:2012) and The British Standards (5499-4:2000) are the most current standards for graphical signage. With the most resent publication of the International Standards (ISO 7010:2012) we are now seeing the removal of the old style euro signage, which has caused a lot of confusion as in the past emergency lighting would nearly always come with the old style euro signage. So consistency of signage was never possible.
